Rain moved the program from its usual location at Rehoboth Beach Bandstand, but VFW Post 7447 hosted its annual Memorial Day program May 30 at the post home.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Robert McGinnis, post commander, acknowledged the cramped space, but then said the men and women of the United States armed services served regardless of weather.
"We're adapting and adjusting," he said.
