Milton Memorial Park was packed with vendors offering local art, nautical décor and more for the Milton Chamber of Commerce's annual Bargains on the Broadkill festival Aug. 27.
The Broadkill River also was bustling with dozens of kayakers and canoe racers competing in the 17th annual Broadkill River Canoe & Kayak Race hosted by Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant.
During the event, about 700 neon-colored rubber duckies were dumped into the Broadkill River for the annual Great Duck Race, which offers cash prizes for the top 20 finishers and uses the rest of the proceeds to support future chamber events.
The 10-mile kayak and canoe race from Oyster Rocks to Milton Memorial Park raised about $3,000 for the town's annual Fourth of July festivities.
