UPDATE: ‘The Secret Garden’ at Milford High Nov. 17-19
The students of Milford High School’s Drama Club will present “The Secret Garden,” a play based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Performances are set for 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18 and 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19 in the high school auditorium.
“The Secret Garden” is an endearing story about a stubborn little girl, a self-pitying boy and a distant father who all learn important lessons about life and themselves from a young man who shares the magic of nature with them.
Featured cast members include Tobias Biro, Amire Collins, Valeria Coverdale, Jessica Creigh, Emma Dehel, Ethan Dehel, Millisen Dill, William Dorey, Lauren Edwards, Mark Hollingsworth, Melina Hudson, Rebecca Hutchinson, Mya MacFarland, Skylar Parnell, Kieran Pheasant, Jennifer Rust, Barbara Walker, Gabriel White and Mason Yoka.
Director Carissa Meiklejohn says, “I read this book in fifth grade and was enraptured by the tale. As someone who loves the outdoors, I really enjoy the message of how nature can lift the spirits.”
