Kathryn Plummer, Sussex homemaker

Kathryn Plummer, 86, of Ellendale, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017.

Kathryn was born in Ellendale, daughter of the late James E. and Maggie (Millman) Williams.

She had worked at Playtex and Farmers Bank, and was a homemaker for 67 years.

Kathryn was a longtime member of the Ellendale U.M. Church, and very involved with their United Methodist Women, PPR Committee and trustee. She enjoyed talking with her church family, and spending time with family when able. Kathryn also loved yard sales.

In addition to her parents, Kathryn is preceded in death by her brothers: Little Francis, Howard, Pete and Arthur; sisters, Viola and Grace; and nephews: Francis, Lawrence and Freddy.

She is survived by her loving husband, Charlie; a daughter, Sharon Reed (Chatty); grandchildren, Chad Reed (Maryann) and Shana Noll (Chris); great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Matthew, Reed, Adam and Ian; nephew, Dennis Williams (Carolyn); niece, Shirley Toomey; great-nieces, Carol Wells (Don) and Ruthann Williams; goddaughter, Renee Kilday (Otis); and many extended family members. Special thanks to Karen and Lowell Miller for Sunday visits and flowers.

A funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 30, at noon at Ellendale U.M. Church, 603 Main St., Ellendale, with visitation after 11 a.m. Burial will be in Ellendale Cemetery.
