Results from Monday, June 12
Elementary Division
Opening night in the Elementary Division saw the Guards and the Dunes battle to a 0-0 result. On the parallel field, the Tides defeated the Waves by a final of 2-0. Leah Metzner had both goals for the Tides.
Senior Division
The opening game in this division saw the Pumas defeat the Artics by a final of 2-0. Both goals came in the opening half with Lacy Bayley scoring at 4:00 followed by Sierra Jester’s goal at 1:22.
The Seahawks and the Baffins played to a 1-1 result. The Seahawks took the opening half lead with a goal by Taylor Smith. Julia Hollenbeck scored early In the second half to earn the tie for the Baffins.
The Corals and Bengals also battled to a 2-2 result. Madi Irwin and Kristen Fuhr got the Bengals started with a pair of first half goals. Jazmine Marino kept the Corals close with the goal, also in the first half. Rylie Cordrey earned to tie with her goal at 18:57 in the second half.
Games continue on Wednesday with the Tides facing the Guards and the Dunes playing the Waves with both games on the Bermuda at Cape Henlopen HS starting at 5:30.
The senior division games: Artics vs Bengals at 6:00, Seahawks vs Corals at 6:45 and finishing with the Baffins and Pumas at 7:30.
