Sarah Timmons joins local Georgetown CPA firm

Sarah E. Timmons, CPA, recently joined the certified public accounting firm of Jefferson, Urian, Doane & Sterner, P.A. in its Georgetown office as a manager.

Timmons has more than six years of experience in public accounting with emphasis in planning and coordinating review and audit engagements. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants  and the Delaware Society of CPAs.

In May, Timmons received the 2011 Delaware Society Women to Watch Emerging Leader Award. She is also active in the community as treasurer of the Lewes-Rehoboth Rotary and currently serves on the advisory committee of The Wellness Community Delaware.

Timmons grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Sussex Central High School. She received her bachelor of science degree in accounting from University of Delaware with a minor in management information systems. She also is a certified QuickBooks User and in 2010 received a certificate from AICPA for completion of its Leadership Academy.
