Building show features Bethany builder Marnie Oursler
Bethany Beach builder Marnie Oursler will be featured for a second season on “Big Beach Builds.”
The DIY Network premiered Oursler’s show in March and it ran for eight episodes. The second season will also feature eight episodes, according to a press release for the show. The show follows Oursler as she restores beach homes from Bethany Beach to Lewes.
“My passion is helping homeowners restore their beachfront properties into places they will love for generations,” said Oursler. “I’ll take their weathered, outdated properties and turn them into beachfront gems once again.”
In the premiere episode, Oursler worked on a dilapidated A-frame cottage that's full of local history and sits just two blocks from the beach. A press release for the show described how the easy remodel turned into a complete overhaul when a crumbling foundation required the home be lifted 20 feet in the air to reset the unsafe structure. Each step of the way, the release stated, Oursler relied on her lifelong construction savvy to create the fun and airy family beach home of her clients' dreams.
