Frank A. Miller, retired accountant

Frank A. Miller, 88, of Ocean View, formerly of Chester, Pa. passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018, at his home.He was born in Chester, Aug. 13, 1929, son of the late Joseph Miller and Victoria Monica (Mackievicus) Miller.

Frank was an accountant with the DuPont Company in Wilmington for 35 years before his retirement in 1985. After his retirement from DuPont, he continued to work with his son David for almost 35 years during the tax season.

Frank was involved in a train accident when he was 9 years old; which caused the loss of his left leg. He overcame that adversity, and eventually met the love of his life, Betty Ellen Ackroyd. Frank was devoted to his family and enjoyed family gatherings. He enjoyed playing any type of card game, fishing and boating.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Eric Miller in 1986; and a brother, Joseph Miller in 1982. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 66-and-a-half years, Betty E. Miller; three sons, Daniel Miller and his wife Barbara of Boynton Beach, Fla., David Miller and his wife René of Wilmington, and Frank Miller and his wife Cindy of Ocean City, Md.; a daughter-in-law, Linda Miller of Ocean View; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Wednesday, March 28, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, where friends and family may call after 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro.
