New therapy teams join Literacy Education Assistance Pups

April 11, 2018

Literacy Education Assistance Pups recently welcomed 10 new therapy teams who have completed their training program at the Lewes library.

LEAP is a volunteer program that uses trained therapy dogs to improve the literacy skills of children and grow their enthusiasm for reading by providing a unique, nonjudgmental learning environment. Teams meet at public libraries in Lewes, Rehoboth and Greenwood as well as in schools and other settings.

For more information about the next Lewes training program, contact Diane Miller at 3rydmill@comcast.net.
