Elizabeth K. Surbaugh, Beebe Volunteer
Elizabeth K. Surbaugh, 92, of Harbeson passed away at her residence Tuesday, May 22, 2018. She was born March 4, 1926, in Philadelphia, PA., daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Wilgus) Hoguet.
Mrs. Surbaugh worked at DuPont Co. until her retirement. She loved the beach, and came here for many years on vacation before retiring here for the rest of her life. She gave 20-plus years of her time to Beebe Auxiliary, where she served as president and secretary. She also worked in the Beebe Gift Shop which she loved. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren made retirement years a joy that made her happy every day! She was a Nana to many and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Surbaugh was preceded in death by her loving husband in April 2018, Richard Surbaugh. She is survived by her two daughters: Jacqueline Guest and Vicki (Mike) Evick; her five grandchildren: Jennifer Travis, Shannon Guest, Christopher Evick, Michael (Dawn) Evick and Benjamin (Carrie) Evick; and nine great-grandchildren: Ryleigh, Madison, Lindsey, Shelby, Taylor, Zachary, Katie, Brogan and Brynn.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Surbaugh's name to the Beebe Auxiliary, 902 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
