Whether you make it yourself or buy it in a bottle, there’s nothing like the enticing flavor of balsamic glaze. We use it on salads, on main dishes, on pizza and on dessert. It replaces oily dressings, animal-based cheese, and sugar laden dessert toppings.
Balsamic glaze is simply a balsamic vinegar reduction. You can make your own by simmering 3 cups of plain balsamic vinegar (and nothing else!) on very low heat for at least two hours. The result will be about 1 cup thick, mildly sweet syrup. If you don’t have the patience to do it yourself, pick up a bottle of ready-made glaze and discover the many ways to enhance your plant-based dining. What better way to eat for your health, for the animals, for the planet!
