Third-grade students at H.O. Brittingham Elementary learned about weather forecasting from local meteorologist Kim Walker and cut the ribbon on a new rooftop weather station donated by WRDE-TV.
Principal Ned Gladfelter said students can view elements recorded by the weather station such as temperature, rain totals, humidity and wind speed online at home and school. Student leaders will provide weather forecasts as part of the video morning announcements.
