Dennis W. Dangerfield, proud Army veteran
Dennis W. Dangerfield, 69, of Lewes passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. He was born May 5, 1949, in Long Branch, W.Va., son of the late Dennis V. and Della B. Dangerfield.
Mr. Dangerfield was a proud U.S. Army veteran, having honorably served during the Vietnam War. His patriotism continued throughout his life as a member of American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro. Mr. Dangerfield built a career in management, retiring from both SuperFresh and R.E. Michel Company.
His interests were many and varied. Among his favorite pastimes were fishing, feeding his birds, betting on the ponies, and playing cards. Above all, Mr. Dangerfield cherished time spent with his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dangerfield was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Dangerfiled. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Katherine Dangerfield; his sons: Bryan Dangerfield (Andrea) and Michael Dangerfield (Nikki); his grandchildren: Joseph Dangerfield, Alexis Rust, Tyler Rust, Kallie Dangerfield, Mitchell Dangerfield and Breanna Dangerfield; and his brother, Terry Dangerfield.
A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, April 2, at 2 p.m., at Henlopen Memorial Park, 28787 Lockerman Road, Milton. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
