Nick Freeman named director of Freeman Companies commercial operations
The Carl M. Freeman Companies have announced that Nick Freeman has been named as director of commercial operations, and Kate Cramer as strategic marketing coordinator for the Rockville, Md.-based real estate and land development company. As director, Freeman will head third-party management services, drive acquisition of new commercial properties, and establish new ways for the company to participate in commercial real estate spaces.
A graduate of Georgetown University, Freeman has been working with the company since returning to the area from New York City, where he worked with a public real estate investment trust on an acquisition team as a financial analyst. Over the last few years, he has been working with the Carl M. Freeman Foundation on the design of its new office in the Bayside development located in Fenwick Island. He has also been leading the conversion of Tusculum Farm from a family-owned residential property to a first-class, luxury boutique bed and breakfast and events venue.
“Nick will bring his unique perspective of the history of the Carl M. Freeman Companies, mixed with the new experience economy driven by catering to two demographics – baby boomers and millennials,” said Michelle Freeman, chief executive officer. “It is a great time to have Nick’s leadership as we dive into this fascinating time in the retail/commercial real estate world.”
Freeman resides in Washington, D.C., and will head up the commercial division for the Carl M. Freeman Companies out of their Rockville office.
Cramer, a graduate of University of Delaware, recently earned her MBA from Wilmington University. Cramer will be working out of the Bear Trap Dunes office and will provide her analytical expertise and support the development team with the anticipated growth of current communities and future projects to come.
