Our new 5-week Osher Life Long Learning class is exploring the impact of our food choices on our world. We are being guided by Nil Zacharias and his new book and podcast EAT FOR THE PLANET at  https://eftp.co

We hope readers will follow as we learn how and why choosing to consume more plant-based foods and less animal-based foods can help us decrease our carbon footprint.

Each class will include interviews with inspiring leaders in revolutionizing our food system as well as tastings of both homemade and commercially available foods prepared to satisfy, nourish and sustain us and our environment.

Today’s tasting of Pumpkin Hummus and Apple Spread on a variety of whole grain crackers filled the bill. The easy oil free Pumpkin Hummus recipe follows. Enjoy!
