Ryan Littleton, Mountaire employee

Ryan Littleton, 35, of Ocean View passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, at his home.

He was born in Salisbury, Md., Oct. 2, 1984, to Russell and Deborah Littleton. Ryan was a graduate of Indian River High School class of 2002. He worked in many different fields, most often with Dad for several years, and was currently employed with Mountaire Farms.

As a child, Ryan was a member of the Eastern Region Waterski Team and excelled in every job that he held throughout adulthood. He earned Lifeguard of the Year with the South Bethany Beach Patrol and was working toward a leadership position with Mountaire Farms. Ryan was a hard worker and was instantly loved by everyone he met. His personality was infectious, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. Ryan loved his daughter Karlie and they enjoyed fishing together. He was an avid waterman and had a great love for the outdoors. 

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bud and Edith Thompson; paternal grandparents, Robert and Helen Littleton; and his uncle Barry Thompson. He is survived by his parents, Deborah and Russell Littleton (Lisa Wynn); his daughter Karlie Jean Littleton;  brother Russell Littleton; and his girlfriend Molly Felter; sister Krista Littleton; and friend Amy Rust. He is also survived by his uncles and aunts, Charlie and Eileen Littleton, Carl Littleton and Abby Gilliar, Tracy and Michelle Littleton, Rob and Deana Littleton, and Kenny and Mary Thompson; many cousins; many lifelong friends, and many new friends he met in recovery.

A visitation will be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m., with funeral services to begin at 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Ryan’s name to an organization to help with addiction: Attack Addiction.
