Harbeson Post Office open for business
A new post office in Harbeson opened its doors last week just off Harbeson Road south of the Route 9 intersection. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 4 p.m. weekdays, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays. Self-service with access to post office boxes is available 24 hours a day. September 2019 – Parcel along Route 5 south of intersection at 18865 Harbeson Road is selected for new facility
Sept. 12, 2019 – Sussex County Planning and Zoning holds public hearing on rezoning application filed by Harbeson Farm Revex LLC for post office site and recommends approval
Oct. 22, 2019 – Sussex County Council approves rezoning application
June 5, 2020 – Delivery of modular building takes place; construction begins
Sept. 28, 2020 – New post office opens.
