Applicant withdraws go-kart track application
The developer of a proposed go-kart track near Lewes has withdrawn the application from consideration by Sussex County officials. Two public hearings, noted on the sign, have been canceled. RON MACARTHUR PHOTO

A conditional-use application for a go-kart track on a 78-acre parcel near the intersection of Beaver Dam Road and Hollymount Road near Lewes has been withdrawn by the developer. The parcel is in an agricultural preservation district where use of the land is limited to farming only until 2024. The application had been on the Dec. 17 Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission agenda.
