Community Bank celebrates another milestone
Community Back Delaware has marked another milestone with the opening of its new Rehoboth Beach branch. The board of directors, officers and staff hosted an open house May 25 with a ribbon cutting to officially open the site.
Started in an old Lewes gas station in 2006 by a group of local business people, the bank soon opened its headquarters at the intersection of Kings Highway and Route 1. A Rehoboth branch along Route 1 opened in 2007. The Lewes headquarters building underwent a major expansion project, which was completed in January 2019. Governed by a board of 11 directors, the bank has more than $225 million in assets. Alex Pires is Community Bank Delaware CEO.
President Jack Riddle said the previous Rehoboth branch on the other side of Route 1 has been closed. “We simply outgrew it,” he said.
The bank, located at 30099 Veterans Way off Route 1, is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday. Phone 302-226-3333 for more information.
