After a year’s hiatus due to the pandemic, fireworks will once again light up the sky in Dewey Beach July 4.
Highway One President Alex Pires said this is the sixth year his company has sponsored the fireworks event.
“Highway One's Fourth of July Fireworks on Rehoboth Bay have been approved by the state agencies including the Department of Health,” Pires said by email June 14. “We are working with Town Manager Bill Zolper and Police Chief Sam Mackert.”
Delaware Chief Deputy State Fire Marshal John Galaska said the fireworks display will be set off from a barge in Rehoboth Bay about 9:30 p.m., Sunday, July 4.
