Cape wrestling shuts down Dover 82-0

The Laurel Bulldogs bounced off the Cape wrestling schedule Jan. 28, so Dover moved up a day to compete at Cape for a Friday afternoon Henlopen Conference match. 

The Vikings won 82-0, as Dover forfeited eight weight classes, leaving six live bouts. The Senators also have two girls in the starting lineup at 138 and 145. 

Live wrestling results included: Josh Wright (126) won by fall in 1:31 over Dashaun Cole, Braydon Cole (138) won by fall over Hayley Ogborne in 21 seconds, Andrew Schaen (145) won by fall in 44 seconds over Angalena Carter, C.J. Fritchman (160) won by fall in 48 seconds over Nishawn Brown, Dalton Deevey (220) won a major decision 21-8 over Conner Ridgeway and Max Meadows (113) won by fall in 3:28 over Joe Jackson. 

Cape will wrestle at Milford Wednesday, Feb. 2, then close out the dual-meet schedule Saturday, Feb. 5, at home versus William Penn at 2:30 p.m. and St. Georges at 4:30 p.m.
