Dorothy Priscilla Lane, woman of faith

Dorothy Priscilla Lane, 86, of Milton, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022. 

Priscilla was born in Chickasha, Okla., Nov. 23, 1935 to the late Walter Edwin and Ardeta LaVange (Edwards Cornelius) Riale. 

Priscilla lived in Virginia and Pennsylvania before moving to Delaware in 1960.  After marrying her husband Richard, they lived locally in Milton for 25 years.  Throughout her life, Priscilla was a renowned professional seamstress and a sales manager for Home Interiors and Gifts Inc. for over 30 years. She took pleasure in reminiscing about her early life in Virginia, and keeping up with family and her many friends by telephone, Facebook and meeting for dinner.  She was a loyal friend, an avid birdwatcher, gardener and dog lover. Priscilla attended Sussex County Bible Church in Harbeson and was a strong believer in her Savior, Jesus Christ. 

She will be sorely missed by her husband, Richard E. Lane; her brothers, Joseph Timothy Riale (Mary) and Ira Paul Riale; her sister, Ruth Elizabeth Carmean (Robert); and her nieces and nephews, Tim Riale (Sonya), Faith Riale Conley (Darin), Grace Miller (Jay), Paul Riale (Karen), Daniel J. Riale, Rachel Peiffer (Paul) and Matthew Riale. 

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
