October 7, 2022

Popular artists Bruce Anthony and Samuel Nobles will take the stage at The Room at Cedar Grove in Lewes at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13. The event includes a multicourse wine-pairing dinner with proceeds to benefit Paul Kares, a nonprofit supporting young musicians and aspiring culinary professionals.

“Bruce and Sam are in demand because they are consummate musicians, and they perform the smooth jazz melodies that so many people love,” said Paul Cullen. “Guests can also expect blues and folk music – anything goes.”

Tickets for the Oct. 13 event are $75 each and include the concert, meal and wine, but not gratuity. To purchase tickets, visit paulcullen.rocks/events.

Dedicated to adult education, Cullen became a WSET-certified Level II sommelier in 2018. He deepened his love and knowledge of Italian cuisine on repeated trips to Italy by cooking with local chefs, sipping wine with winemakers and exploring the vineyards. He also performed with Italian musicians.

Cullen and friend Jim Rivette co-founded Paul Kares, a 501c3 charity currently accepting grant applications. To apply for a Paul Kares grant, visit paulkaresde.org/apply.

Cullen is a chef, sommelier and musician who fell in love with wine and food while touring with the rock band Bad Company. He is known for offering in-home dining experiences with a menu inspired by his Italian ancestry. He also imports Italian gourmet items and started a wine company featuring Italian imports.

The concert is one of many at the event venue, which also offers chef dinners and culinary classes.
