Native American Day celebrated at Nanticoke Museum

Nanticoke Indian Association Inc. presented the Native American Day at the Nanticoke Indian Museum Nov. 5 in Millsboro. The event celebrated with museum tours, traditional drumming and singing, traditional dance, Native American flute performances, Native American vendors, Native American foods and Native American story telling.

Featured speakers were Ragghi Rain and Karelle Hall, who told stories of the Native American people and discussed their co-authored book about the work being done to bring back the Nanticoke language. 

There were performances from the Nanticoke Dance Troupe, Native American flautists, as well as traditional drummers and singers.
