Cape athletes sign letters of intent

Ten Cape athletes representing five sports took advantage of the early signing period to sign national letters of intent or commitment agreements to colleges and universities at a ceremonial signing Nov. 17 at Cape Henlopen High School.

Five of the athletes committed to lacrosse. Those include Mikaylah Lindsay (Winthrop University), Luke Burton (Flagler College), Brexton Carter (McDaniel College), C.J. Fritchman (Salisbury University) and Cody Trivits (Randolph Macon College).

Field hockey signees were Grace Hudson (Belmont Abbey College) and Mackinzie Brown (College of William & Mary). 

Alex Taylor signed with Roanoke College for wrestling.  

Ryan Baker signed with Lehigh University for cross country and track.

Elizabeth Tietbohl signed with the University of Lynchburg for equestrian.
