All Saints' and St. George's thrift shop events start Dec. 17
The All Saints' and St. George's Parish Thrift Shop located at 20673 Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach will host the following special holiday events.
Children's Shopping Day is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 17, allowing all children ages 6 and up to make purchases for the holidays. Personal shopping assistants will be available, and refreshments will be served.
Christmas caroling in the store will take place from 2 to 3 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 22, featuring Jon Rania and friends from All Saints' Church and St. George's Chapel, leading all in favorite carols and Christmas songs. Refreshments will be served.
Ongoing this holiday season is a special raffle on five pieces of artwork, which runs through Saturday, Dec. 31. Cost of the raffle tickets range from $1 to $5 each, based on the particular piece of art being raffled. Tickets are available at the thrift shop, which is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday.
Admission to these events is free and all are welcome.
The All Saints' and St. George's Parish Thrift Shop has been a part of the Rehoboth community for decades. Located in the Bay Mart Shopping Center on the Forgotten Mile just outside Rehoboth Beach, the thrift shop has given out more than $110,000 to charities locally, nationally and internationally. All items sold are donated by community members. The thrift shop operation depends largely on volunteers, and new volunteers are always welcome.
