William J. Lovell Sr., Scott Paper Co. retiree
William J. Lovell Sr., 91, of Swarthmore, Pa., and Ocean View, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, Feb. 20, 2023. He was born in Clayton, Ga., Monday, Feb. 13, 1932, son of the late Elijah Lovell and Della Mae Coleman Lovell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice Lovell in 2015; a son Terrence Kevin Lovell; and a grandson Nicholas.
William formerly worked as a maintenance supervisor for 37 years at the Scott Paper Company in Chester, Pa.
He is survived by his sons, William J. Lovell Jr. of San Diego, Calif., and John T. Lovell (Margaret) of Swarthmore, Pa.; daughter, Linda Marie Hockman of Ocean View; grandchildren, Mackenzie, William, Joshua, Chad Jr., Madison, Robert and Erin.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 11, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville Chapel, 34874 Atlantic Ave., Ocean View, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m.
