Milton Lions and chamber hold nonprofit networking event

The Milton Chamber of Commerce and the Milton Lions Club recently co-hosted a Friends of the Milton Community networking event at The Rookery Golf Course, Milton.

Wendy Coverdale, Milton Lions Club member, said, “It is important to bring our local nonprofits together. This gives special organizations an opportunity to share information about what they do for members of our community.”

Attendees were able to communicate with nonprofit representatives who are active with the chamber of commerce regarding future volunteer and support opportunities.

“Our chamber of commerce creates opportunities for regional nonprofit organizations to tell their stories, circumstances and challenges they are experiencing. The important work they do is a part of the fabric of daily life in our community, and we are here to help. We look forward to co-hosting this event next year with the Milton Lions Club and coordinating more nonprofit events in the future,” said Karen Falk, Milton Chamber of Commerce executive director.

All nonprofit organizations are welcome to join the chamber of commerce and participate in chamber-sponsored events and festivals. The chamber’s nonprofit membership fees range from $50 to $100. For more information, call 302-684-1101 or email Chamber@HistoricMilton.com.
