Police say Trent Ingalls, two teenage Seaford boys - one 17 and the other 15 - and two others, who have not yet been identified, went to a Seaford home on West Stein Highway Oct. 11, 2022, and shot Carl Pedone Jr. and a woman, both 19, said Sr. Cpl. Jason Hatchell of the Delaware State Police.
Hatchell said five people forced their way through the rear door of the residence, went went directly to the Pedone’s bedroom with handguns drawn, and demanded an unknown item from Pedone and the woman. Pedone was shot inside his bedroom and the woman was shot while sitting on a chair in the same room, Hatchell said. Also, he said, at the time of this incident there was an infant child and two other adults at the home, buy they were not injured.
Pedone died from multiple gunshots to his torso; the woman was struck once and treated and released from the hospital.

On April 27, Ingalls was stopped by the Vermont State Police in the area of Rutland, Vermont, and he was taken into custody without incident. Ingalls is being held in the Vermont Department of Corrections on a fugitive warrant pending extradition to Delaware.
