Oliver Whitby owner Don Preston celebrated the store opening in Rehoboth Beach with a small gathering and ribbon cutting June 30.
According to the business website, Oliver Whitby “is based on the creation of a limited inventory of unique, handmade cushions as well as a careful selection of additional items, selected for their provenance as the finest of their kind and their relatively limited availability in other regional retail establishments.”
The shop’s workshop feel is purposeful – the majority of the pillow and linen inventory will actually be made on site.
“Oliver Whitby patrons can expect to find the sewing facility in the shop actively in use, crafting the cushions, tablecloths and napkins that will be on offer,” reads the website.
Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Design consultations are available by appointment. For details on Oliver Whitby, 239 Rehoboth Ave., call 302-667-2340, email donpreston@oliverwhitby.com or go to oliverwhitby.com.
