Joseph Edward Park, U.S. Navy veteran

Joseph Edward Park, 91, of Lewes passed away peacefully Wednesday,  Aug. 23, 2023, at Harbor Healthcare in Lewes. He was born March 8, 1932, in Islip, N.Y., son of the late William and Mayta (Baker) Park.

Joseph was a lifelong resident of Islip, where he and Charlotte raised their family after his service in the U.S. Navy. They retired to Lewes in 1991, after his retirement as a manager for Sears and Roebuck in Bay Shore, N.Y.

Joseph was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Charlotte Mae Park; and his son, Joseph Park Jr.

Joseph is survived by his children: Shirley Park of Harbeson, Joyce Mlodynia (John) of Commack, N.Y., and Betty-Jean Park (Kraig) of Fort Myers, Fla.; his grandchildren: James Park, John Mlodynia (Kimberli) and April Read (Chris); and his great-grandchildren: Kali and Chloe Park, and Haley and Alina Mlodynia.

Services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
