The fire was reported early morning in Lewes.
The Cape Artists Gallery was not damaged in the fire.
An early morning fire Sept. 1 burned a second-story apartment in the same building that houses the Cape Artists Gallery.
The fire was reported at 3:38 a.m. at a building on west Third Street, and firefighters from Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, and Indian River found fire coming from a rear porch of a second-story apartment. Officials said most of the fire was on the rear porch, but some of the interior was damaged.
The Cape Artists’ Gallery on the first floor was not damaged.
