October 12, 2023

David F. Moore, 75, of Lewes, passed away at his home Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, after a short fight with cancer. He was born Jan. 20, 1948, in Wilmington, to Agnes and Frank P. Moore.

Loved beyond words, Dave will be missed by all who knew him. His passion and enthusiasm for a Sunday afternoon game or race will be treasured. Active in both the American Legion and Moose Lodge, Dave also enjoyed cruising with his wife, Laura. In his retirement, Dave loved to relax on his porch and visit with friends, family, and his dog, Nellie.

Dave is survived by his children, David Moore Jr. (Catherine), Brian Moore and Nancy Redden (JD); his grandchildren, Lyric Detwiler, Bethany Watkins, Colin Moore and Jackson Moore; and his sister, Gina O’Connor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary Agnes; and his wife of 37 years, Laura.

A memorial service will be held privately for immediate family.
