Local author Judy Wood to sign debut novel Dec. 16
Browseabout Books will host author Judy Wood as she celebrates the release of her debut novel, “The Wrong Life,” from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 16, at 133 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.
“The Wrong Life” tells the story of a woman who has everything – money, looks, opportunity love – yet continues to question and second-guess her choices as she tries to understand what brings happiness and if there is such a thing as the right life.
The novel is the culmination of nearly 10 years of work for Wood, who had always dreamed of writing, but like so many people, never pursued this dream in the midst of working and raising a family. Having been the wife of the American ambassador to Sweden from 2006 to 2009, Wood only began writing seriously after she and her husband moved to Rehoboth, and Wood joined the Rehoboth Beach Writers’ Guild.
“I never expected to feel this proud, this exhilarated,” Wood said after a recent book-signing event in Washington, D.C.
“We’re excited to feature Judy’s novel,” said Susan Kehoe, owner of Browseabout Books. “It’s especially gratifying to see one of our local authors have this kind of success.”
