The 2012 edition of Starry, Starry Night lived up to its name, allowing attendees to enter a World of Wonder filled with feats of magic, art, photography, medicine, science, nature and engineering.
Chairwoman Esthelda Parker Selby said more than $200,000 was raised during the April 28 event at the Owens Campus of Delaware Technical Community College in Georgetown.
Del Tech President Orlando J. George Jr. said the proceeds would be used to fund an aviation maintenance hangar to expand the college's program at the county airport and to fund additional hybrid-auto training bays and general classrooms.
The evening's many offerings included art by Abraxas, photography by Kevin Fleming and performances by the Las Vegas-based group Mosaic. The evening also included a reception, dinner, desserts and dancing.
