First Town shopping to benefit Lewes in Bloom April 11

It’s tulip time in Lewes, and downtown restaurants and shops have partnered with Lewes in Bloom for a one-day fundraising initiative Thursday, April 11. Partnering businesses will donate a percentage of the day’s proceeds earned to Lewes in Bloom.

The organizers’ win/win goal was to bring in revenue for downtown merchants during the off-season and raise funds for Lewes in Bloom.

Keeping the city looking its best year-round, Lewes in Bloom begins with spring tulips, followed by summer annuals and then fall flowers, and wraps up with holiday greens displays throughout downtown. Volunteers work hard in planning, maintaining and tending more than 20 gardens around Lewes.

Lewes in Bloom members will be in town all day to express thanks and give out stickers so people can proudly show their support.
