GMB announces new leadership and promotions
George, Miles & Buhr LLC announced the selection of Christopher J. Pfeifer, PE, as a new owner of the firm, along with his promotion to vice president/senior project manager.
Brent R. Jett, PE, CFM, CC-P, has been named an associate of the firm and has been promoted to project manager.
Pfeifer joined GMB in 2013 after graduating with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Drexel University. A licensed professional engineer in Delaware and Maryland, he currently leads the site/sustainable design group, managing a variety of land development and stormwater projects on Delmarva. Pfeifer’s work includes the Estuary and the Knoll communities, which are under construction in Sussex County, as well as Armada, Ironhook and Grayrock developments, which are currently in design.
Jett joined GMB in 2019 with over 20 years of professional engineering experience and a distinguished background in stormwater management along the coastal regions of Delmarva. He holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech. As leader of GMB’s coastal resiliency group, Jett assists local municipalities with mitigating the effects of climate change and sea level rise. In addition to being a professional engineer licensed in Delaware and Maryland, he is a certified floodplain manager and a certified climate change professional. In his Delaware projects, Jett is actively working with the City of Lewes and the Town of South Bethany on their resiliency goals. He has successfully assisted clients with procuring grant funding from state and federal programs, including the FEMA Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program.
