Shell We Bounce in Lewes is turning up the excitement this Earth Day with a special event starting at 4 p.m., Monday, April 22, in the parking lot at 32295 Lewes-Georgetown Hwy. (Route 9), Lewes.
Owners Julie and Jim Derrick will kick off the festivities with a grand ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the green milestone of adding solar panels to the entire 26,600-square-foot roof, installed by Clean Energy USA.
Attendees will be greeted in the parking lot by a towering inflatable playground for kids, and Hopkins Dairy Farm’s iconic ice cream truck will be on hand. There will also be a free sapling giveaway, a gesture to nurture the planet's future.
A special Earth Day deal on Shell We Bounce admission will be offered for those who step inside and dive into the action in the Kids Zone packed with surprises, a cozy café for refueling, and an arcade where prizes await, plus dodgeball, basketball courts, foam pits, trampolines and moving bars.
