Two children and an adult were injured July 26 following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 1 and Minos Conaway Road.
The crash happened at 9:11 a.m. when a Volkswagen Tiguan driven by a Rehoboth Beach woman, 21, was northbound on Route 1 at the Minos Conaway crossover, police said, and she pulled into the path of a Ford Ranger heading southbound on Route 1.
As a result, police said, the front of the Ranger struck the passenger’s side of the VW. The Rehoboth Beach woman was not injured, police said, but two 6-year-old children were flown to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Ranger, a Milford man, 24, was not injured, but a passenger, 20, was taken to an area hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
The Rehoboth Beach woman was cited with failure to yield the right of way.
Route 1 southbound was closed for about one hour while the scene was investigated and cleared.
