At its September meeting, Lord Baltimore Lions Club welcomed District Governor Joan Bestpitch and members of the District 22-D Lions Cabinet for an official annual visit.
Bestpitch asked Lions to work with focus on growing membership with the hope of expanding services to the citizens in the communities. She also acknowledged the club accomplishments of the Lord Baltimore Lions and thanked members for their long-term demonstrated service commitment to the community.
During her visit, the district governor awarded Lions Club International Milestone Service Chevron Awards in recognition of years of service to Janet Bauer, Harold Beam, Scott Brannan, Mary Davis, Sue Dick, Karl Gude, Donald (Doc) Hattier, Richard Jesneck, John Monahan, Esta Rigakos and Doug Scott. These particular Lions represent a full range of service experiences spanning from 10 years and up to 40 years as a Lion member.
Cabinet Secretary Carol Lecates thanked Kathy Brannan, Lord Baltimore Lions secretary, for her excellent work, filing her multiple reports to District 22-D in a timely manner.
Lord Baltimore Lions Club President Scott Brannan presented Bestpitch with a special framed imprint of the District Governor’s Service Pin with a stated theme of Rise to the Challenge, that she designed for her Service Year 2024-2025. Brannan also called forward Lion Ken Crooks forward to present him with ceremonial brick from Leader Dogs for the Blind. The replica brick represents the real brick that carries Crooks’ name, which will be installed at the Leader Dogs for the Blind training location in Rochester Hills, Mich.
