I am writing to express my wholehearted support for the re-election of Rep. Estelda "Stell" Parker Selby.You deserve a representative who is not afraid to do what's right and stand up for you. I know that Rep. Parker Selby is that person! As a respected member of her local community and throughout this entire state, she has demonstrated her true commitment to helping others, and her dedication toward improving the quality and equality of life for all Delawareans.
Having known Stell since junior high school, I have witnessed with great pride and excitement the growth, development and maturation of her passionate, yet responsible and tireless servant leadership. Throughout her professional career, she distinguished herself as a master educator and administrator. Just prior to her becoming a state representative, she served as a member of the board of trustees of her alma mater, Delaware State University, often recruiting and assisting numerous students of various ethnic backgrounds to attend. Her presence as an alumnus made a significant impact on the board, as she was able to see and understand complex issues from more than one perspective, while uniquely bringing people together in making mutual decisions.
I have great admiration for Rep. Parker Selby as a proven leader. She has the courage to ask the tough questions, the integrity and wisdom to seek the best answers. We elect our leaders to make tough decisions. I support Stell, and I urge each of you to support her also.
