Bayhealth Residency Graduate Dr. Kendall Barton Joins New Primary Care Practice in Dover

Bayhealth is pleased to welcome one of its own to its newest primary care practice in Dover - Bayhealth Primary Care, Blue Hen. Kendall Barton, MD, was among Bayhealth’s first class of family medicine residents and since graduating this spring, is staying on at Bayhealth to continue caring for our community. Dr. Barton joins fellow Family Medicine Physician Matthew Reetz, DO, at the practice. He is currently accepting new primary care patients. 

Bayhealth Primary Care, Blue Hen is part of Bayhealth Medical Group, a partnership of highly trained physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and teams that operates medical offices throughout Delaware.

“A goal of Bayhealth residencies was to create a pipeline for new doctors to our area, so it’s very exciting to now have graduates of the program make Delaware their permanent home and join our physician teams,” said Bayhealth Vice President, Physician Services and Clinical Integration Lawrence Ward, MD, MPH, FACP. “Dr. Barton is an exceptional physician who will continue to build on the strong doctor-patient relationships he’s formed and now be able to care for more of our community members.”

Dr. Barton is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, South Carolina where he was named the 2016 Mr. MUSC winner. As a family medicine resident at Bayhealth he earned the Resident Social Media and Community Outreach Award in 2022 and the Bayhealth Resident Recognition Award in 2023.
