Local government representatives hear from state officials

More than 100 Delaware League of Local Governments members from the state’s 57 municipalities and three counties gathered March 27, to hear from Delaware officials Lt. Gov. Kyle Evans Gay, Attorney General Kathy Jennings and Sen. Stephanie Hansen, D-Middletown.
Lt. Gov Kyle Evans Gay, at podium, details her platform as Delaware’s newly elected second-in-command. Evans Gay emphasized the need for local governments to work with state and federal officials in the face of potentially declining revenue.
Attorney General Kathy Jennings addresses the DLLG Executive Committee, the league’s 13 decision-makers. Jennings highlighted the funds available from the state’s Prescription Opioid Settlement Distribution Commission to help local municipalities combat opioid addiction.
