The Lewes Building Co. is proud to announce that it is currently building a 2012 Southern Living Showcase Home. The Lewes Building Co. chose Kousa Creek to be its showcase home from Southern Living’s huge repertoire of plans.

This plan was designed exclusively for Southern Living by John Tee, a nationally renowned architect with more than 30 years' experience, and was the 2007 Southern Living Idea House in Greensboro, Ga. This project represents the first Southern Living Showcase Home built in Delaware and the only one currently being built that directly serves the Mid-Atlantic Region.

“The Kousa Creek plan radiates a sense of timeless elegance,” said Kristen Bryan, associate marketing director, Southern Living. “We are thrilled to see the Lewes Building Co. bring the pages of the magazine to life with this showcase home.”

“Kousa Creek is a fantastic house plan,” said John Leebel, a principal of the company. “Like many classic southern Greek revival homes, it has a casual coastal living feel but offers dramatic architectural features. It’s a big home - over 4,200 square feet - but it’s really comfortable, and a cozy screened porch makes outdoor entertaining easy, which is important here at the beach.”

Kousa Creek is in the community of Hawkseye on home site 59 and is currently available. It will be furnished and open for visits during late 2012.

The Lewes Building Co. is Delaware’s exclusive Southern Living Custom Builder Program member. This designation is awarded to custom home builders who are able to represent the prestigious and nationally recognized Southern Living brand with the highest quality, craftsmanship and customer service.
