The bayside streets of Dewey Beach flooded Monday, as Hurricane Sandy continues to pound the Mid-Atlantic Region with a hefty dose of rain and wind. Water has reached as far east as Route 1 toward the south end of town.
In Henlopen Acres, low-lying areas of the town, such as portions of Tidewaters and the marina, have flooded out and are not navigable by vehicle.
