Festival of Trees to benefit Delaware Hospice Dec. 7 to 9 in Rehoboth

The Festival of Trees in Sussex County to benefit Delaware Hospice will be held Friday to Sunday,  Dec. 7 to 9, at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.

Delaware Hospice expressed appreciation for the support of Premier Sponsor Medtix LLC, Silver Sponsor Bayhealth Medical Center and Media sponsors Gatehouse Media and Delaware Today.

This annual exhibit of exquisitely decorated trees and wreaths will open with the Friday Night Extravaganza from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Some of the area’s favorite restaurants will offer dinner selections including Nage, Big Fish Grill, Agave, Stingray, Bethany Blues and Max Catering. Wonderful gifts will be available through the live and silent auctions, including decorated trees and wreaths, a large Victorian dollhouse, wall hangings, a Byron McBride print, cheer baskets and many one-of-a-kind decorative items. General admission is free, and hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9. Visitors will enjoy the creatively themed decorations as well as the Sweet Shoppe, vendors, raffles and the Craft Elves Holiday Gift Shoppe.

Saturday’s Wine Tasting from 5 to 9 p.m., will be a casual, fun-filled evening with a fine selection of wines with cheese, crackers and desserts. Tickets are $15 per person and available at the door.

Tree sponsors include Purdue Farms, Sussex County Council, Cape Gazette, Kiwanis Club Seaford, Peninsula Financial Group, Griswold Special Care, Sea Watch International and Denise Westbrook.
