The McGuiness three of Rehoboth Beach and Park City, Utah, hit it big again this season with a sweet ending at Nationals held at Copper Mountain in Salt Lake City, Utah. The top 1,600 kids in the U.S., Canada and Australia competed in the USASA series across the states to get regional titles in hopes of landing an invitation to Nationals.
Baylan McGuiness competed in the youth men's division for the USASA Big Mountain West series, riding in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. After many competitions in these states, he ranked third in half pipe, second in slalom, third in giant slalom and second in boardercross. He is ranked 14th overall in the U.S. after nationals.
Stormy McGuiness, competing in the USASA breaker girls' division, ranked first in slopestyle, giant slalom, slalom and boardercross and regionally second in the half pipe. She is ranked sixth overall in the U.S.
Saylar McGuiness competed in the skier girls' division for USASA and USSA, ranked regionally first in slopestyle, half pipe and skier cross. After a five-week foot injury, she returned to skiing on Day 1 at Nationals. She won the National Overall Championship this April at Nationals for the third year in a row.
