Edward I. Feeser, Cape Region volunteer

Edward I. Feeser, 77, of Millsboro, formerly of York, Pa., passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.

Mr. Feeser was born in York, Sept. 9, 1936, son of the late Paul Jonas and Louise May (Warner) Feeser. He retired from Consolidated Freight in 1998 after 22 years of service and also had served in the Army National Guard.

Ed volunteered his time with various civic organizations such as the Salvation Army, Red Cross and the Christian Storehouse in Millsboro. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge No. 646 in Lewes, AMVETS Post 2 in Millsboro and the Long Neck United Methodist Church in Millsboro. In his spare time, Ed enjoyed fishing and drag and stock car racing. Ed, however will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Elwood and Paul Feeser. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Margaret “Peg” L. (Keech) Feeser; three children, Debra Farnsworth of Hanover, Pa., Ricky L. (Joni) Ray of Spring Grove, Pa. and Sherrie L. (Eric) Wolfgang of York; three sisters, Marilyn (Keith) Miller of York, Linda (Dave) Gable of York, and Sally (Dave) Fullerton of Florida; a brother, Robert (Mary) Feeser of York; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Long Neck United Methodist Church, 32051 Long Neck Road, Millsboro. Interment will be private.
