Food from the Incas served in Lewes

The Delaware Hispanic Commision hosted Peruvian Chef Ambassador, Merida Iriarte de la Rosa to a free food tasting of the healthiest meal from the Inca culture at the Net House in Canlfront Park June 8. de la Rosa, who is visiting the USA in a food tour, was honored in 2012 with the title of Peruvian Chef Ambassador by the Government of Peru. The event was part of the Community Conversations taking place all over the state of Delaware to celebrate the Latino Community of Delaware. There was also be the opportunity for participants to buy raffle tickets to raise funds to make possible for de la Rosa to do a food tasting at the Hispanic Heritage Month at the Schwartz Center for the Arts celebration Saturday, Oct. 4. The October event is organized by the Delaware Hispanic Commission in partnership with the Arsht-Cannon Foundation and the Schwartz Center for the Arts in Dover.
