Synergy Behavioral Health Group of Lewes and Groovyoga Dharma Kids LLC invite parents, caregivers and social workers to certified yoga training for kids Friday, May 1 through Sunday, May 3 at the University of Delaware Virden Center in Lewes.

The workshop will cover using trauma-informed treatment strategies in clinical practice for kids. Participants will learn basic yoga poses and meditation techniques and their benefits. They will learn to incorporate a comprehensive combination of yoga and mindfulness practices as a trauma-informed treatment protocol for children and adults.

Participants will learn about chakras, which are seven energy centers in the body, and how to bring awareness to them with movement, meditation, sound and mindfulness. This information will help attendees learn to develop treatment plan formulations based on acknowledging internal strengths existing in each person.

Participants will learn creative ways to teach self-confidence, trust, teamwork, focus and self-control.  Participants will learn to help individuals feel strong and confident through physical movement, and learn how to nurture self through relaxation.  Participants will learn to incorporate use of journaling techniques to emotionally detox and bring gratitude and intention on where they want to be.
